Overall Budget (Income - Savings - Bills = Safe to Spend)

It would be nice to not have the categories in Copilot be so interwoven with budgeting.
While I know some folks use the "envelope" method for budgeting, I personally just want to save $X per month and don't care how I spend the rest of the money (bills not included since those are static and recur).
Right now, if I decide I want to add a new category it screws up my budgeting and I need to remember the exact dollar amount of my bills + my own calculated safe to spend which is pretty annoying.
Categories are nice for getting a birds eye view of how i'm spending my money, but I don't care about creating budgets for any/all of them.

Set one overall budget number to monitor and allow category spending to be fluid and not constrained by a budget.

I think you should only be able to budget the current amount of money you have and/or receive through income. my pay fluctuates monthly and so I think it’d be easier to only budget based on the amount I’m getting paid each paycheck so I’m not over budgeting everything.

Hey Daniel, thank you for sharing! You can set budget categories to $0 to prevent them from affecting your total budget amount.
If you'd like to group all discretionary categories under one group, you can set a budget for the group and set $0 budgets for all of the categories in the group.
