I would like to see how much i spent on a trip so would like a specific tag that is in addition to the default categories

I’m glad this feature has been launched. I’m also using it primarily to groups trip expenses as the original poster mentioned. What missing is an ability to archive tags or make them inactive so that the list of tags doesn’t grow infinitely.

Classifying transactions that users has not decided how to categorize or waiting for refund into "Pending category" so they can easily come back to those transactions.

Happy this feature was added, but for me it's missing one of the key functionalities: bulk adding tags to existing transactions. Adding tags to each separate transaction via 3+ taps is painful when I need to tag some 100+ transactions after a vacation and selecting all of them to apply single tag would be a lot easier

Andrew would also be nice to be able to see breakdowns per category per tag as well

Andrew: Good news! You can long-press on a transaction in the Transactions tab to multi-select and bulk apply tags. You can also multi-select in the Mac app to bulk apply tags to existing transactions.

Olivia unfortunately that's not so, the only options available in the menu after selecting multiple transactions are category and type, not tags
Update: apparently availability of that option requires for at least one tag to be configured manually inside settings. Though tag selection popup later also allows to create a new tag, looks counterintuitive. The option can be displayed right away with the prompt to create tag instead of having to figure it out and creating tag in settings. Happy it's there:)

Agreed. Only been using copilot for a few days…tags are a must have. Would also be nice to have a super category. For example. I am responsible for running one
household with a hybrid financial operating model.
Think multigenerational family dwelling. I have my moms operating budget and my family. I want to see the her utility category and my utility category each with their own subcategories. I can kinda make it work with a tag system but a super category grouping would be handy

Mark you can already create category groups and have subcategories under them. Is this what you’re looking for?

Vanessa - one more layer. For example (using tree structure example)
~/Mom/Food/Groceries
~/Mom/Food/Restaurants
~/MarkFam/Food/Groceries
~/MarkFam/Food/Restaurants
It would be great for a growing market segment. I am one of the estimated 100 million US adult to function as a caregiver for a child parent or other relative. We’re a single household, multi-bank account blended financial family. I need to track my expenses and the expenses of my mother who had dementia and my healthy non-contributing step-father.
Tags or another category level
Would be helpful. See attached report

Mark got it! I don’t know if you’re on Reddit, but the founder posted today about new features. Including tags launching next week :)

Considering moving from Banktivity, which has a tag feature I much appreciate.

Came here to create this ticket!!

Please prioritize this! Basically would be great to just have sub tags under all categories - would allow us to cut our own data so much more precisely
(ie for travel subtags - individual trips, in beauty - subtags for hair, makeup etc)

This should be at the top of the list. Especially since the software architecture is already there for categories, it's essentially just another category.

How far out is this feature? Do we have an estimate?
